Took it easy today - 11 miles roundtrip to Dungeness Spit. Pedaled furiously into a tearing westerly all the way there, and flew on it back to Groveland. The spit was so windy and chilly, I took refuge behind a huge log on the leeward side and snoozed while Josie went photographing. Tomorrow, we’ll do the big ride to Port Angeles. More of Josie’s pix here:

I’m so jealous! And so into your pictures–what an eye, Josie.
Looks like the weather has been decent. It’s been pretty nice here too. I saw a hawk hot on the trail of a small bird as I was riding on Crystal Springs today. The hawk caught up and was a beak away (I was readying myself to see the grab). Suddenly, three crows were above the hawk, and divebombed until it flew away. Free Tweetie! (It didn’t look like a young crow but would crows save some random bird?) Anyway, on a bike, nature is a lot more personal.
Enjoy!!!
