I did the same thing the first year I got my trainer. Unfortunately, the DVDs I watched then were pretty boring, and if I got into a movie, I never seemed to workout very hard. The last two years however, there has been virtual cycling DVDs on the market. I find these much better for my training, and this year, there is a new company that has made three rides from Hawaii. I found them on www.globalride.net, but I think they are for sale on Amazon as well. Check em' out, you might like them too.

I'm so jealous! And so into your pictures--what an eye, Josie.

Looks like the weather has been decent. It's been pretty nice here too. I saw a hawk hot on the trail of a small bird as I was riding on Crystal Springs today. The hawk caught up and was a beak away (I was readying myself to see the grab). Suddenly, three crows were above the hawk, and divebombed until it flew away. Free Tweetie! (It didn't look like a young crow but would crows save some random bird?) Anyway, on a bike, nature is a lot more personal.

Enjoy!!!

After I read your Josie PG post, I went back to the other tgrips to PG (looking for the mileage, wondering if I'm ready for it). Your pictures are so beautiful! They've inspired me to try that 40 miles some weekend soon.

I did the same thing that day with my family. As a family we did a 10 mile ride and then I took off by myself sending them on their way to Port Angeles where I would meet them. I too came across the cougar sighting sign which completely panicked me and I them was worried a cougar was following the scent of fear to attack me. The upside is I rode REALLY fast until I came upon signs of civilization again.

I found your post because I was trying to look up information regarding any cougar sightings. I too would like to continue to ride the trail but am now nervous. I'd hate to have one of my children that can't ride as fast become lunch because they are at the back of the pack.

Hello,

I recently had a friend direct me to the Team Estrogen forum where you had posted a comment about Seven Cycles. I am a Seven Cycles retailer in Seattle and I have to say, I am VERY excited about Seven Cycles.

Not only did I work for Seven from 2000-2005, I primarly sell Seven as the main brand at my shop.

I apologize in advance if my unsolicited email is bothersome. If you would ever like to talk about a Seven Vancanza with someone who is psyched about Seven, let me know.
